Restaurant école working with parent-teacher associations
For parent-teacher associations, Restaurant école provides a range of activities which can be used to help generate income in fun and enjoyable ways. Schools benefit as all profits are given to the association, which will filter back to pupils. We do not charge for these services other than to ask that associations cover our costs for putting the event together.
Option 1: The Restaurant école Food Stand
Even if your school doesn't use Restaurant école as its caterer, we can still provide a cooking show for your fête, parents' evening, firework night or other event. We can bring our own cooking and refrigeration facilities on site if you wish.
- Restaurant école sausages contain 100% pure meat. They are cooked and served in front of parents, and served on French bread.
- Freshly baked croissants, filled with chocolate.
- Restaurant école ice cream, made with real milk, eggs, cane sugar and real chocolate is always a favourite.

Option 2: Bid for a Restaurant école meal in your own home!
Ideal for PTA parents evening events, we can provide one our lunchtime menu meals for parents to enjoy, so they can experience first hand what their children are eating on a daily basis.
- Restaurant école will demonstrate our fresh food approach and our emphasis on a partnership between Restaurant école, schools and parents.
- This activity would be ideal for a prospective parents' evening - perhaps on a Friday night - to maximise the opportunity for parents to come along, and enjoy the evening.
- To finish the evening, we offer a meal, cooked by Francois for up to 6 people in their own home, and served by the headteacher(!) for auction. This option is always a great success for PTA fundraising.
Option 3: The Family Food Show
Learn how to shop for, and cook, simple food with extraordinary flavours. Wow your family at home in trying your own creations by participating in these master classes for people who lack confidence. No-one has ever failed this class and better still, you get to take the food home for your family to enjoy! Classes are limited to 6 people per event (generally run between 3.00pm to 5.00pm). Examples of food that can be prepared and taken home are:
- Salmon pan fried in pesto served on a bed of couscous.
- Roasted free range chicken with lemon zest and roasted carrots.
- Vegetarian lasagne.
- Fruit crumble with real fresh custard.
- French Pancakes.
Option 4: The Sports Day Juice Bar
On sports day, we can offer fresh fruit and vegetables as well as a juicer in the middle of your school field.
- The children enjoy the juices - banana, kiwi, carrot etc. - free of charge. Parents are able to purchase the juices.
All we ask is that you mention Restaurant école to parents via invitations to any of the above events. Our success will be your success, and will result in parents and children benefiting from sampling real food, and helping their school association in their fundraising efforts.
