"Yesterday Restaurant école provided us with a delicious barbecue with
not a burnt sausage in sight!
Our restaurant went 'Al Fresco' with the children enjoying their
barbecued food and ice cream cones outside in the glorious sunshine.
It was wonderful to see the children and staff enjoying the exciting food.
A number of children who don't normally have school lunches were able to opt for the
barbecue lunch. Those who didn't have this opportunity wished they had.
My view is that I would love to see all children having school lunch everyday -the best
option by far!"

Restaurant école recognises that we have an important role in promoting a healthy diet. An appropriate intake of food energy and fresh natural nutrients
in a child's growing years is vital to their future health and well being.
Fresh food, smells looks and tastes better than anything pre-cooked or from a packet or a tin.
The early introduction to "home made food", we believe, gives excellent grounding for life skills, health and education.
Pupils learn that lunchtime with Restaurant école is fun too!
A lot of parents have contacted us over the last few months about the poor standards of catering in schools and ask us if we can help. We need to make clear that we will only approach a school if we know that the leaders of the school are interested by fresh food, or if we are invited by the leaders of the school to visit them.
So before anything can happen we have to ascertain how strong the interest is for 100% fresh food by the leaders of the school? Once we know the answer, Restaurant école may or may not be able to help the school.
Francois wanted a real ice cream and in co-operation with an Italian ice cream specialist, secretly developed a specific range for Restaurant ecoleTM, with as many natural ingredients as possible - milk, cane sugar, eggs, and cocoa - for young children from 5 to 12 years of age.
This delicious family-size real ice cream is also available to buy from Restaurant école schools who receive a percentage of every sale.
The price for a 4 litre super size family container of ice cream is £14.99 which will yield about 45 scoops.
